The Hinsdale Falcons 100-pound Silver White
football team played a great game to beat the South Elgin
patriots 12-6.
John Buonavolanto, who gained 129 yards, scored on a 65-yard run
on the first series. Quarterback John Regan guided the offense
well, including a 35-yard pass that led to Richie Excell's
game-winning touchdown run.
Offensive Player of the Game Peter Tosello, Billy Suchy, Ryan
Frank, and Ethan Chester had big gains thanks to solid blocking.
Frank led the Falcons' defense in tackles. Harrison Tate had the
only interception of the game. Defensive Player of the Game Kyle
Lampeter, Chester, Buonavolanto and Christopher Chenery also
starred on defense.
Hinsdale Falcons Varsity 20, Carol Stream Panthers 0:
Quarterback Nick Koehn led the way by completing 5 of 7 passes
for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Collin Fahey opened up the
scoring on a 43-yard TD reception from Koehn on the Falcons'
first possession. Koehn then hit tight end Maxx Flaska for a
25-yard TD strike later in the first half. Fahey and Flaska each
had two receptions for 71 and 50 yards, respectively. Koehn also
completed a pass to Evan Bolts for a two-point conversion.
The Falcons (4-0) rushed the ball for 156 yards behind offensive
linemen Calvin Casper, David Wilk, Joe Morrison, Luke Rafferty,
Nick Piker, Steve Galiniak, Sean O'Hara and Ryan Callen. Running
back Jack Stibich led Hinsdale's rushing attack with 65 yards
and a touchdown. Fahey, Josh Rogers, Koehn, Evan Bolts and Cole
Potkul rushed for an additional 91 yards.
The stingy Falcons' defense limited Carol Stream to 71 yards for
the game. Linebackers Jack Stibich (9 tackles), Josh Rogers (7),
Steve Galiniak (6) and Fahey (4) led the team in tackles. Also
contributing multiple tackles were Potkul, Bolts, Flaska,
Branden Reeves, Michael Lantero, Chris Syregelas and Keegan
O'Day. The Falcons only allowed six total points in their first
four games.
